On behalf of the staff, Roger Pickard presented the "Boss" with a gift for his birthday, which was near, The family also presented him with their gift at this time. Several mem- bers of the staff thanked the the gratitude of all to the Re- bekah's for the splendid cater- ing. One of the main highlights of the entertainment was a dress- making contest, when the men dressed their ladies in the latest styles fashioned from news. papers. First prize went to Mr. & Mrs. Rae Webster and second to Mr. Kenneth Wilson and Miss Gale Forder. The rest of the evening was spent danc- ing and playing cards, PORT PERRY STAR departed.
