The item re the visit of the Wilkings Fa- | mily should have read--Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wilkings, Roy Jr. and Mrs. Eva Donaldson, Toronto, called on Mrs. Thompson and Mr Frank Watson. The birth of a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fishley was there all right but in two pieces. The 10 o'clock church service time may have hurried some famil- ies but not too many. Appar- ently only one man was seri- ously disturbed. The Sunday morning service was the farewell of Rev. E, Mec- Neil who is retiring after 47 years in the Ministry, and also the last service of Seagrave Pastoral charge. Zion and Pleasant Pt. congregations which hae been associated with Seagrave about 60 years are _ becoming a part of Little Bri- tain charge while Seagrave joins with Greenbank. Mr. McNeil came here in 1954 from Victoria Road As a young man he entered the ministry of the English Methodist Church in 1918. Since then he has served in Jamaica, Turks and Caicos Islands (home of Mrs. McNeil) Haiti, Santo Domingo, Panama and Costa Rica. He was also superintendent of the Valiente Indian Mission. 'Mr. McNeil preached a ser- mon in keeping with the occa- sion based on the subject--'The Ministry of the Word". At the close of the service he was presented with a cheque by Mr. Lawrence Nicholls, chair- man of the Board and Mr. Glenn Wanamaker, Treasurer. About 35 members from Zion- Pleasant Pt, congregation join- ed in the service and the social hour following Mr. and Mrs. McNeill will continue to be members of this community, living in their new- ly built house just north of the village. - Here with the McNeils for the occasion were: Mr. & Mrs. Ken Darrell of Long Island, N.Y., Mr. and Mrs. Don Darrell of Courtright, Ont. and Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Newman of Oakville, Ont. We are pleased to report that our patients Mr. Orville Boe and Miss Jean Bright are both doing nicely and, that the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Fishley is showing signs of im- provement, Don't let anyone tell you Gordie McMillan isn't busy. He played on the winning team in 3 ball games on Sat. and Sun. --once with Little Britain Juni- ors and twice with Sonya Braves when they defeated Pt. Perry on Sat. and Sunderland on Sunday. Seagrave had only one repre- sentative in the Minor Softball | parade. He was Bobby Bruce, the guy with the great grin, who plays with Greenbank Squirts. Miss Jean MacTaggart, Lind- say, Miss Mary MacTaggart, Toronto and Mr and Mrs. A. Broad, Regina, were recent din- ner guests of Mr. and Mrs, J. S. MacFarlane. Later they called on Mr. J. C. MacTaggart. On Thursday Mr. Wm. Keen's sisters from England, Mrs. Dor- set and Mrs. Harrop, flew to California where they will visit a nephew before returning home. Mr. and Mrs. R. Reynolds are trying out town life by staying with Mrs. S. Reynolds, Port Perry, while Mr and Mrs. Cher- rie are on a holiday. The Aubrey Moon family were in Toronto over the week- end. Mrs. Clements spent Tuesday with relatives in Newcastle. Mr, and Mrs. Allan Bertrand entertained two of their grand- children while their parents Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bertrand were moving to St. Therese, Que. By the way did you notice Al.
