Dear Sirs: While returning home from my cottage at Chalk Lake last night, June 27th, after mid- night, I found a lost dog, and suspect that the qwners might have been picnicking in the area and the dog wandered off. It is a purebred dog, and has a tattoo mark. The person correctly describing the tattoo will be able to claim the dog. I would prefer not to name the breed, as this could produce a rash of enquiries from hoax- sters anxious to obtain a good dog for nothing, and of course I am only interested in obtain- ing the real owner. I wonder if you would be good enough to insert a little reference about this, in your editorial columns, if your news- paper has such a column; if not, make up a small classified ad- vertisement for the "found" seec- tion and bill me personally. You can just say it is a tiny dog, honey-coloured. You could say that I can be reached at my of- fice, 924-2166, or in the even- ings at my home, 923-8327, Tor- onto. Any cooperation you can give me will be much appreciated. Yours sincerely, Elizabeth M.
