"Under date of June 28, you relayed to this Comimssion a copy of a resolution of your Council requesting that the the con- | works project in the Village and that the associated costs be re-' covered by the sale of service. In a statement of Prime Min- ister Robarts that was made on August 6, 1965, this Commis- sion was given the authority to extend its present activities in the provision of water supply & sewage works facilities throughout the Province. Our | terms of reference now permit greater assistance to munici- palities where problems of pro- viding service are encountered due to financial limitations. In this respect, the enclosed infor- mation is being forwarded to you regarding this new policy. The application includes a brief introductory statement regard- ing this policy and form which should be completed and re- turned to the Commission if Council considers that this type of project will prove advanta- geous. A Resolution of your Council should be passed and returned to the commission together with the completed questionnaire. A suggested form of resolution is provided for your guidance in this matter. Many details of the program- me are still in the development stage.
