Crozier at Town Funeral Home Whitby, Monday. Misses Prudence and Anne MacIntosh and Mrs. Hugh Mac- Intosh, Madoc, were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Wolfe and boys. Messrs. Roy and Harold Me- Laughlin won third prize in the horse shoe pitching competition at the plowing match Saturday. Mrs. Handel opened the meeting with Call to Worship followed by the singing of Hymn 577 "Come ye thankul people come" followed by the Lord's Prayer. Mrs. 'Ballard read the scripture which was from Matt. 6 vs. 25-34. Meditation on scripture reading was read by Mrs. Handel, who also lead in prayer. Theme song was sung and creed card read in unison. Mrs. Handel gave a reading on Thanksgiving. Hymn 488 "Come let us sing of a wonderful love" was sung. The devotional portion was closed with Benediction. Minutes of September meet- ing and a special meeting were read and adopted. Roll call-- 7 members & 6 visitors. Thank- you cards were read for gifts report was read and adopted. Plans were made to have a euchre on October 23rd. Mrs. Jean Jeffery gave two humor- . ous readings entitled "Bessie's Boil" and "Taking a Dog for a Walk". These readings wero indeed enjoyed by all present. Collection was received and all enjoyed a social time over lunch served by the hostesses Mrs. Handel and Mrs. Ballard.
