Gerrow. 21 ladies including 8 guests were present. The vice-pres. opened the meeting due to Mrs. Wilson's necessary absence at the be- ginning, The theme being "Christmas", the opening re- fléction was on the phrase "Merry Christmas" as used lightly, cheerily or sincerely at this season. Mrs, Reta Rodman led the topic "The Three Wise Men", interspersed with the Seripture reading by Mrs. C. Graham, Mrs. J. Pearce gave a reading entitled "Do you be- lieve in Santa Claus? Mrs. D. Gerrow gave an interesting con- test to test of knowledge of vo- cabulary:--Who would use the following articles? -- scalpel, gertrude, micrometer, podium, ramekins, ledger, cassock, quad- rant, mashie and pantograph. Mrs. J. Dowson had one of her usual comic readings on "Christmas Wrapping". For the roll call each lady |§ read a Christmas verse. Now all the members .are in possession of a Study Book and for Jan. will please prepare the one starting on p. 187. During business period, Mrs. N. Arrangements were made for packing a bale and also a Christmas box for an unfortun- ate family, We voted $75. to- ward the M. & M. fund. A com- mittee to arrange the mystery sister Supper was arranged. During our discussions, there was a rap at the front door, Mrs. Rodman and the rest were pleasingly surprised to behold at the door one of Santa Claus' many helpers who had taken some time out of his busy sche- dule to help the ladies distri- bute their mystery Sister gifts. The Gerrow over-sized table was extended to its full length to seat the guests. Sat. was quite a lovely day and evening for all the excite- ment that prevailed at the Twp. Hall and "Grace" Church. We congratulate the threb ladies who now represent the various boards of Scugog for the first time. To some extent the election | interfered with the Official Board Supper, but the 45 mem- bers who were able to attend were well pleased with the | whole evening. On Wed. evening the "Head" ladies will cater to the Mystery Sisters of "Grace" at their an- nual Christmas meeting and supper. Our sympathy is extended to Mrs. Don Gerrow, who on Mon. morning heard of the sudden passing of her father in Sask, Bonnie with her three sisters flew to their parental home on Monday afternoon, We are pleased to report an improvement in. Mrs. Wm.
