Thirteen members attended -- some of them for the first time --and President Mrs, M. B, Dymond was in the chair, "The meeting opened with the recitation of the Lord's Prayer and then all members intro- themselves to "break the lee" for the new members. Mrs, B. Wanamaker read the min- utes of the last meeting but there was no financial report owing to the absence of the Treasurer Mrs. D, Crozier. Mrs. A, McDermott, who was #80 away, reported by note that eight boks have been purchased for the Children's Ward---four for children up to seven years of age and four for those from the ages of seven to twelve yrs. of age, Some small cars and trucks, suitable for bedside tables have also been purchased. It was voted to reimburse Mrs, McDermott on her return from Florida, Mrs, Roy Cornish has receiv- ed no further donations from Diminishing Teas and it is earnestly hoped that the pro- ject will be continued. . Mrs. Mumford reported a card received from Mrs, D. Gerrow in thanks for the sym- pathy card sent.at the time of her Father's death. -- Mrs, Dymond read a letter from the firm of Greer and Kelly, informing her of a be- quest totalling $1000 made to the Hospital Auxiliary by the late Mr_George Bridger. This news was received with some excitement. ) Seven bables have been born since the December meeting, all of whom received a gift of bootees, Mrs. Manns has eight pairs still on hand and more wool is on order, Any ladies willing to donate their services as bootee knitters will be warm- ly welcomed, ah The Spring Fair will be held on May 28th and all organisa- tions will be contacted shortly to find out how they wish to participate, Mrs. Roy Cornish is chairman of the Fair com- mittee other, members being Mrs. A. McDermott, Mrs. Storey Beare and Mrs. Gordon Goode, As Mra, McDermott will be away until April, Mrs. Cornish will ask another member to substitute. Forfeit Calendars, which proved such a popular success last May, are being prepared by 90-YEAR OLD SUBSCRIBER ENJOYS "STAR" Neepawa, Man, A Jan. 20th, 1966 Mrs, Dymond and it is hoped to distribute them in time for action during the month of March, "To enliven proceedings, Mrs, Dymond introduced a little en- tertainment in the form of a flower game. For several min- utes, members racked their brains, trying to find flowers for every letter of the alphabet, with a score of 28 and was a- warded a small prize by the President.
