The June meeting of the Greenbank W.I, was held on "June 16th at the honie of Mrs. Elwood Clements with twenty members and six visitors pre sent. - The meeting opened with the Ode and Mary Stewart Col- lect, The minutes were heard and he roll call was answered by "Some place I'd like to visit or spend a holiday," and there was some interesting places mentioned. Mrs. Phoenix thank- ed Mrs. Clements for opening her home for the meeting. Re- ports were heard from the dif. ferent conveners. A short busi- ness session followed. Mrs. * Phoenix then gave a report on : the Officers Conference which she had attended in Guelph, and it certainly was interesting to all, one thing in particular which one of the speakers told was that "Home-making is the -most highly regarded of all ~ professions", that surely is a compliment to:the women, An- other interesting item was that the' Guelph Agriculural College has added 35 acres more land and building has already start- ed which will consist of a Chem- _ ical Research Complex, and De-. partment of Agriculture resi- dence for 2nd year Grads, also Veterinary and Engineering: This was followed by Mrs. Dia- mond's report from the District Annual which was held at Brougham, Mrs, Diamond gave some most helpful and interest- ing highlights from this meet- ing. She also reminded us of the District Picnic which will ~ Obituary OSWALD C. LOVE On June 18th, 1966, Oswald C. Love passed away in the hos. pital at Sault; Ste, Marie after a severe illness of three weeks, Mr. Love was a former resident of Greenbank, Ont, Mr. Love was born at Greenbank in Sept. of 1898, son of the late Mr, and Mrs. Charles Love. He spent his early years at Ashburn, Ont. and moved back to Greenbank with his parents in 1914, In Sept. of 1921 he married Jean Patterson and they farmed east of Greenbank for some time. Since leaving this area - he has resided at numerous places and at the time of his passing he was resident at Bruce Mines, Ont. Left to mourn the loss of a loving husband, father and grandfather are his wife Jean,. his daughters Mary (Mrs. R. T. Davies, Huntsville, Ont.), Betty, (Mrs, Sal Polito, Lindsay, Ont.), * Ann (Mrs, Wm. Brennan, Co- bourg, Ont.), Francis (Mrs. Wm. Yanchuk, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.) and twelve grandchildren, ~ Tracy & Lexie-Yanchuk, Dwight & Dehn Davies, Sal, John, Paul Oswald - and Janie Polito and William Robert & Cheryl Bren- nan. Also mourning his passing are five brothers and one sister, Britton, Edmonton Alta., George Clifford, Tilford, Clayton and Elva (Mrs. Gordon Taylor) all of this area. Two brothers predeceased him, Lloyd in Deec., 1961 and Bert in Aug. of 1965. Mr, Love rested at the Barton Funeral Home Sault Ste. Marie afternoon and evening of Sun- day, June 19th, thence. to the Pinkham Funeral Home Sunder- land, where he rested Mon. day evening and where the fun. eral was conducted Tuesday at 2 pm. Rev. D.
