The choir sang two anthems--"A Prayer of Grati- tude" and "Song of Thanks: giving". Rev. Romeril's ser mon was on '"Thankfulness", The Anglican Church was beautifully decorated for the Harvest Festival. Rev. Rose preached on Harvest and Thanksgiving, The Sacrament of Baptism was administered to Robert Edward, son of Mr and Mrs. Don Green. Mr.. and Mrs. Percy Honey and Don Honey of Warkworth, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Green, Mr, and Mrs. Jack Green and boys were Sunday dinner guests of the Don Greens. The fourth meeting of the Cartwright Casseroles 4-H club was held at the, home of Mrs. Ralph Larmer, Saturday, Oct. 8th, . Poole and Tom, Don Mils, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Feruson, Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Strong, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Strong were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. & Mrs. Eric Barr and Beverley.' Mr .and Mrs. Peter Vander- huel and Julia, Orillia spent. the week-end with the Cecil Gibsons and M. Vanderhuels. If this is the way people of Scugog Island & Port Perry support a worthy cause for the Building of a Hospital in Port Perry thank goodness I am not part of them. I understood that all pro- ceeds were to go to the Hos- pital Fund but I never seen one representative of the Hospital present that evening. My way of thinking is that I feel sorry for the two nice peo- ple who donated their Hall free of charge for: t#is event and to receive such an ovation of hav- ing just Twenty-Four people attend is a down. right shame.
