Offering 'gathered by Robert Snelgrove and Don Bea- cock. We appreciate the floral ar- rangement placed in the sanc- tuary from the funeral of the late Mrs. Alvin Hunter. We extend sincere sympathy to all the Rice family over the passing of our minister's uncle. The October meeting of the G.N.S. Club met at the home of Mrs, Ken Middleton. President Mrs. M. Pugh presided and re- ports were heard from remain- ing executive. An appreciation note was read from Wm. Gray, R.R. 4, Port Perry. Wm. was chosen to be the most all-round (including academic) pupil in grade 8 Consolidated No. 1 school. He was awarded the honour recognition made pos- sible annually by the Club. Tentative plans were outlined pertaining to the forthcoming dance, Nov. 26th. October meeting. , The devotions were conducted by Mrs. Webster, observing a thanks- giving theme, Both of them gave readings and Mrs. Bert Gray the scripture lesson. She conducted the business session. Regular reports were given and discussed. We were pleased to welcome a new mem-~ ber, Mrs.. Allan Fair. Christ mas cards and wrapping paper were sold and orders taken, We were reminded of the Fall Rally at Kedron on Nov. 3rd. The group in charge of .the November meeting are Mesdames Ruby Smith, Geor- geanne Legge, Janet Vernon & Sylvia Diamond. ) Rev. Teskey closed the meet- ing with prayer. The group in charge served refreshments during a friendly, social hour.
