The first part of the evening was devoted to a few rounds of euchre as a result suitable pri- zes were handed to those hold- ing high and low count. At this time the guests of honour Lloyd and Eunice Hun- ter were invited to occupy two special chairs. Mr. Bruce Snel- grove read an appropriate ad- dress referring to the worth- while qualities of this couple. Mr. Earl Martyn on behalf of the group presented a pole lamp which we hope they will enjoy in the future. The re- cipients voiced their grateful thank-you, after which all well- wishers partook of the custom- ary liberal lunch and sociability prevailed 'till time to travel home. We welcome Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Jones 'and family of Scarboro who have purchased and moved into the former Lloyd Hunter home. Several ladies from our area I'ea, Little Expo in Port Perry. Mrs. F. Brooks opened her home for a successful Amway Party Wednesay evening with Mrs. O. E. Croxall as demon- strator. Mrs. Croxall is also distributor for this district in praise of Amway Products. Mrs. G. Hunter and Mrs. L. Beacock attended the enjoyable U C.W. tea and exhibit of pion- eer articles held at the home of Mrs. Ross Lee, Kedron.
