Jackson and Mrs. R. Holman of Brooklin Branch were in charge of registration of delegates. After assembly singing led by Mrs. H. Arksey and Mrs. E, Croxall, members were wel comed by Mrs. D. Devolin, Vice President who wished that all might have a happy and pro: fitable day. Mrs. M. Annis, District Pre- sident called on Conveners of Standing Committees for their reports. The reports show that a very active year had just con- cluded. Donations to hospitals, sponsoring foster children, lea- ders of 4-H Clubs, contributions to scholarships, organizations and Centennial projects were a few of the many activities re- ported. After a delicious luncheon by the ladies of Brooklin branch a short memorial service for members who had passed away during the year was conducted by Mrs. A. For the children there will be prizes awarded for the best decorated tricycle, Bi- cylee, Doll Carriage and Wagon appearing in the parade. At 2.00 p.m. the main park activities will commence with the Water Sports directed by the Yacht Club to include the following:--Canoe Races, double Jr. and Sr. Classes; Log Rolling, an open event; Pram races, Jr. and Sr. classes. While this is going on, at ap- prox. 2.15 the first of 2 ball games will be played at the main ball' diamond. Public 1867 to 1967 theme with table and chairs at each end to add to your further enjoyment. The parade trophies will be presented at the Dance and the Arena addition will be officially opened. \ A Centennial Church Service of all denominations will be held at the Lakefront Park at 11.00 a.m., Sunday, July 2nd. The co-operation of most chur- ches in Port Perry makes this interdenominational service pos- sible. The Centennial choir will be in attendance. This service should be a fitting tribute to the splendid co-operation your Cen tennial Committee has had from all the organizations and groups working together to make this a memorable week .in Port Perry. Possibly other organizations would now like to plan a booth and if so should contact this commitee at once.
