I called on Mr. Raines at the Municipal Hall who so kindly called one of the old pioneers in your village, and through his directions, I was able to locate the old brick house on the old Peter Ander- son farm where mother was born. Many changes have tak- en place over the years, but it was quite a thrill to see moth- er"s old home, and fulfill her wish for me to visit it some- time. We would appreciate it very much if you would be kind enough to forward to the above paper, as I have two brothers and three sisters who are inter- ested in the Port Perry News. The base- ment of Hall is almost finished, and is a credit to Rebekah's and Oddfellows who are striving so hard to make funds to complete this new building. A bounteous lunch is served by different groups in charge and is put on by the Rebekahs, A very successful Euchre was held at the Oddfellow's Hall on Saturday evening, June 3rd at 8.30 p.m. These card games are held every other Saturday.
