Robarts Announces Pollution Conference The Prime Minister, 'they, I Honourable John P. Robarts, announced today that a com- prehensive conference on pollution control will be held later this year. "The conference," he said, "will be organized by the Ad- visory Committee on Pollu- tion Control, a committee of Deputy Ministers established last October to co-ordinate all government pollution con- trol programs throughout the various departments involv- 'ed. Since its inception, this committee has made consid- erable progress in co-ordinat- ing the government's own de- partmental programs and has made a preliminary survey of non - governmental organiza- tions 'active in this field. "In order to establish a better two-way communica- tion with these latter groups, I have asked the Advisory Committee to organize a pro- vincial conference on pollu- tion control, to be held dur- ing the first week of Decem- ber.
