This week it was another wedding when son No. 2 Ivan was married in St. Anne's Angli- can Church, Toronto to Miss Joy Budway, daughter.of Mr. and Mrs. John Budway of that city. Brother Glenn Stone and Miss Judy Scheater of Lindsay were members of the Wedding party and of course the family attended. There will be a miscellaneous tea for Miss Marilyn Rodd. Also to honour the same bride-to-be a group of high school girl friends held a shower on Wed. at the home of Miss Maureen Tobin. Bethel Cemetery bulletin-- There was good weather last week so nothing happened. They are working again now, With this excellent weath- er Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Recent callers at the Mac- Taggart home were Mr. and Mrs. Reg. Cookman of Green- bank on Tues. and Mr. and Mrs. Hoskin on Sat. Wednesday saw a car-load of old Seagrave friends visit- ing with Mr. and Mrs. Wes. Crosier in Sunderland. The party was made up of Mrs. Boe, Mrs. Fishley, Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Mac- Taggart. Their guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Co- chrane of Nestleton, Mr. and Mrs. Don Cochrane and fa- mily of Port Perry, Mrs. Ca- therwood of Uxbridge and Mr. and Mrs. Reg. Abraham from next door. Mr. and Mrs. Gord Sweet- man spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. M. Verkuyl and fa- mily in Barrie. Mayor Scott's new home is beginning to take form but is mostly underground yet. Mr. Harris made his Sept. appearance on Sunday. With the anniversary season com- ing up we can expect him again perhaps some time in October. S.S. attendance was about average and birthday gifts came from Mrs. MacTaggart, Catharine Nicholls and Shir- ley Short. Next week we would like to see a crowd for Rally Day when Mr. Terry Hodgins of Prince Albert will address the school. On Sept. 24th we invite everyone to be with us at 11 am, and 7.30 p.m. for our 60th anniversary. Speakers will be Rev. Geo. Davidson and Rev. J. K. Braham and. special music will be furn- ished by Prince Albert quar- tette in the morning and Port Perry U.C. choir in the ev ening. Calling all men willing to work (but no shirkers please) to a "bee" in the church basement at 8.30 Saturday morning.
