Members - were pleased with the results of the Baz- aar held on November 4th in the Masonic Temple. Articles left over were sold at the close of the meeting. Sin- cere appreciation to the Baz- aar committee and all mem- bers who helped make it a sucessful venture. The meeting closed with Benediction and a friendly cup of tea was enjoyed, serv- ed by Mrs. Grant McDer- mott's Unit 9. Ashburn News 'Rev. C. R. Rudd, of Peter- borough, showed the Bible Society film "Freedom in Their Souls", in the Centen- nial Centre on Tues., Nov. 21 at 8 o'clock. The Ladies Guild met at the home of Mrs. Douglas Ashton on Wednesday even- ing. The Christmas meeting of the W.M.S. will be held at the home of Mrs. A. Fisher Mrs H. Doble spent last week with her sons in Tor- onto. Mrs. Gordon Fisher, of Pickering spent a few days last week at her home here. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Wil- son, of Toronto, were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Russell Richardson. Mrs. A. Peddie, of Clare- mont, spent Friday with Miss Mary Hopkins. Mrs. M. Sparks left on Sun- day to spend the winter months with her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Porter, in Guelph. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Heron attended the baptismal ser- vice in St. Andrew's Presby- terial Church, Scarborough, on Sunday, Nov. 26th when Linda Anne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
