Will 'Hold Pee Wee Tournament Port Perry Minor Hockey are attempting another first this year as a kick off for Minor ckey Week in Can ada (Jan. 20 - 27). It's going to be a Pee Wee invitational tournament with teams Port Perry, Uxbridge, Pickering, Stouffville, Brooklin, Ajax & Bay Ridges. Games start at 8 a.m. Jan. 20 and cintinue approximately every hour till 6 p.m. and 10 games have - been played. : There will be 2 divisions, Grand Champion and Consolation winners will be declared and trophies and crests will be presented. Dick Gamble of Dick Gamble Hoc: key Schools - is sponsoring this tournament and will be there to present his trophy & crests and will be giving some lucky boy a week free at his summer Hockey School in Bowmanville. Dick Gam- ble has played' 'hockey in the AHL for many years and has led that league in scoring. He had several tries at the NHL and belonged to Cana- dians and Toronto Maple Leafs at one time and if he had not been on Rochester Americans protected list would certainly have been in the NHL today. This tour- nament is under the conven: ership of Grant Campbell with Don Cochrane his as- sistant and of course the rest of the executive hacking 'them up. Admission for the Day-- Adults 50c., Children 25c. (any boy 15 and under gets 'a chance to win the week at Hockey School). Booster Button holders admitted free. So don't forget Jan. 20th. Martin - got Gunter's goal. 2nd -game-- Campbell and * Gibson battled to a 5-5 tie. Nesbitt got 3, Tomlischin & Campbell 1 each. Vanderby 2, Steve Brain, B. Jan. 5 and Port boys just couldn't get untracked for 2 periods and in the last period came to life .and scored the tieing goal but it was disallowed. Sat. Jan. 6th they travelled to Markham and fought to a 0-0 tie. x * * Beare Motors Bantams have week playing 2 league games, 2 exhibition games and in the Markham Tournament Jan. 2. Port lost to Port Hope 2-1 in what was called the best game to watch for the fast end to end play in the Mark- ham Tourney. Port "was beaten 4-3 ay Whithy in the consolation game of this tournament. A pretty good showing consid- ering our Bantams were up against "B" teams. J Manager Brit took the Bantam. All-Stars to Pe- terborough Fri., Dee. 29 for an Exhibition game.
