Scott Township Council Members Win Bonspiel Members of town and "township councils and em- ployees of same in Ontario County competed in a bon- spiel held at the Uxbridge Curling Club's rink Saturday. 16 rinks entered in the spiel and Scott Township with Bob Timbers as skip won a trophy donated by Warden Ross Murison, Pick- ering Village. Curling for Port Perry . were Bruce Beare, skip; Irv- ing Boyd vice skip; J. J. second; and Phil Orde, lead. : The lady members of the Scugog Township rink were the most experienced curl- 'ers, "and "consequently took} over the two top positions on the team. Mrs. June Cro- --zier, skip; Mrs. Grace Love, vice skip; Glen Demara, sec- ond and Victor Aldred, lead. Reach Township rink, short one player in the first game had to play with only three members, Arthur Catton, skip; Chet Geer, -vice skip; -and a former concillor, Arm- our McMillan, second. In the second game Dr. Carl Puterbough, Uxbridge join- ed the rink as vice skip. The event was based on a St. Patrick's Day theme, and the ladies were presented with corsages.
