Ray Munro thought his cattle had got out yesterday but when he got closer to the animals he found it was a herd of eleven deer in the field. Spring must be coming. There were four robins pick- ing seeds on my front walk this morning. Mrs. M. Cullen, president, presided. Welcome to all, Lord's' prayer in unison. O Canada was sung and meet- ing continued. Different Committees_pre- sented. their reports. Mem- bers were-~asked to bring suggestions to next meeting for bus trips in the near fu- ture. The Club has a very active Committee to arrange these trips, "Mrs. M. Chapman and Mrs. J. "Robertson. After being in the South the mem- | bers are glad to welcome Mrs. Robertson home again. Several new members have joined lately, and still we hear of others about to join, welcome to all. Mrs. M. Cullen is on holi- days with her son David for two weeks in Florida. Happy Holidays. Mr. E. Healy, Vice Pres. will take the chair in Mrs. Cullen's absence. Next meeting, March 27th at 2 pm. Next Euchre at Club, Sat.,, March 30th at 8.30 p.m. Euchre on Sat. 16th was very successful, | some from out of town have remarked how they don't like to miss them, -showing how these euchres are popu- lar with so many. P Ahad hh hahah Shah Ladies Hospital Auxiliary The Hospital Auxiliary met at the home of Mrs. M. -B. Dymond on March 18th with 16 ladies present, The meeting opened with the Lord's Prayer. In the absence of the regular sec- cretary, Mrs. J. Davidson read the minutes of the last meeting. Mrs. J. Manns reported that 6 pair of hootees had been given out since our last meeting. A note of thanks was read from Mrs. Eleanor Weery, Blackstock. Mrs. Geo. Bell and Mrs. Gordon MacDonald offered to look after the plants and favors for the patients in Hospital at Easter time. We were reminded of the Annual Hospital Board meet- ing on March 27th and ar- rangements were made to look after the refreshments with Mrs. Doug Crozier and Mrs. Bill Heayn in charge. In regard to membership in place of representation from each organization, representatives voiced their ELECTRICAL agreement to carry on the same as we have in the past years. Remember the Spring Fair on May 25th, There will be an apron booth, a tiny tots booth and don't forget toys for the children. We were asked to name and price any plants for the green thumb booth. It was moved that we give the Hospital Board $1000.00 on our pledge to the new. Hospital. Lunch was served by Mrs. J. Coates and Mrs. J. Manns. Meeting adjourned. 10 |.
