Wilson were welcomed home on Sunday from their three ~ EPSOM NEWS By Jean Jeffery Epsom School held its Annual Open House on Thurs. evening. Parents and friends are so pleased to be able to attend and see the projects that the children have been telling them about all year. Also an opportunity to get bet- ter acquainted with the teachers. The rooms were all nicely decorated with the work the children had done. Iwas interested in the use of tooth-picks in mak- ing pictures in Miss Geiss- bergex's room. It was fun to try to recognize the various pupils from the excellent Silhouettes in Mr. K. Smart's room. Mr. R. Smart's pupils had some very interesting work done with paper ma- che. The work in Grade one and two gave one the idea of the many various methods used to make learning a pleasure. It was very much lamented that Mrs. Watt was un- able to be present due to illness. The Explorer group are busy too, and we watch their handeraft work with much interest. At present they are working with various 'shaped pasta to decorate boxes which are then prayer with gold coloured paint. It will be appreciated if you buy seeds from these girls to help pay for their supplies. The U.C.W. decided at their meeting to have a pot luck supper on St, >atrick's Day March 17. Mr. and Mrs. Thormin will show the coloured slides they took last year when they were in Egypt. Every- one is welcome. There will be a silver collection taken. The adopted Shinese daughter of the Sunday School writes very inter- esting letters. She is do- ing well at school and seems to appreciate very much our efforts on her behalf.
