PORT PERRY STAR -- Thursday, May 15,1969 -- 7 Catharine Nichols of Green- our Annual Religious Rally was successfully carried out Mon., May 5th, at-Port Perry High School. The leaders who. taught God's word in our school area were: Mr. and Mrs. Nel: son, . Mrs. Bradley and Miss Wiemer.: The Epsom Senior Choir participated in the Rally by cinging "For the Beauly of the Earth" and "I will Lift up Mine Eyes". . Miss Geisberger's Class dramatized "Moses and the Burning Bush". The Junior Sword Drill was won by Debbie Sutherland of Miss Geisberger's class. 'Brian Bigglestone & Lynne Parish also represented our school. In the Senior sword drill bank won. Kim Midgley and Susan Doble of Epsom made the competition a stiff one. Kim Midgley of Grade T: won the prize for the bet note book in the township. J We would like to offer a special "Thanks" to Mr. Nel- son and his assistants for the work they have done in-our school. Thanks to Robbie Thorn- dyke .for.the following des- cription of the School Bus' Excursion to Niagara Falls. "A bus and car left Epsom school about 8 a.m. May 8th, 1969. We headed for Nia- gara Falls and within a few | hours arrived safely. -- Mr. Kenneth Smart, Mr. Rob. Smart, Miss V. Geiss- berger assisted by Mr. B. EPSOM NEWS 'berger enjoyed the trip with the students. We arrived first at the Museum". Here we' were divided into two groups. One ascended the tower.while the other toured the R.CM.P. Exhibit. lunch. in 'the Cafeteria next to tower. Now, on to the Aquarium in New. York State. After an impressive tour we walk- ed back across the bridge. There was some light rain but this did -not stop us from taking numerous shots of the Falls. A short drive... later we were again taking pictures. This time it was the Floral dams. This finished our tour of Niagara Falls and- only Brock's monument was left on our itinerary. NOur day was complete. We ate in a restaurant-and ar- rived -home exhausted. Most of all I like'the Aqua-; Jrium for natural and new ex- hibits... "Thank You" to Mr. Kerr for safe reliable service tak- ing us to and fro.
