+f i 5 1 | * ® ERLE ESRI ATM The Editor "The Star" Port Perry, Ontario Dear Sir On the second concession of Reach Township one mile east of the town line is a large gravel pit. -I would like to register my concern regarding the adverse effect of the gravel pitoperationsupon the natural beauty of this area. Not only do these activities leave the landscape devestated wasted but they are also a source of irritation to the local - people, many of whom are year round residents. The close proximity of the excavations to the dwelling places exposes the people to the continuous noise of trucks and machinery, and to a constant swirl of dust. Surely some by-law could be implemented that would restrain these operations from 'encroaching on the privacy and enjoyment of the local CL VAAN PRT Fs LETTERS vrs CHURCH OF ASCENSION ANGLICAN Rev.
