Cartwright Bantams had a very successful 1969 Season, winning both the League Pen- nant and the Playoffs. During the season they lost one 'game to Greenbank and tied one with Goodwood. In the semi-final series with Mersco, Cartwright won'3 straight. : 2 The final series with Good- wood was quite exciting being extended to the sixth game. 'The first game was 11 to 10 for Cartwright. The second game was 11 to 3 for Good- wood. The third game was a debacle for Cartwright, losing 31 to 8. The fourth ganie in Claremont was a 5-5 squeaker. In the fifth game the Cart- wright batters finally got to McNeil's offerings winning Ito 8 This set the stage for the final game in Claremont with neutral umpires. In the. first inning Rick Campbell led off with a. home run. Inthe third| J. ° inning Rick Campbell hit a triplé, but was stranded at third.
