Amendments to the exist- ing bylaw came as the result of a motion sponsored by Réeve Wilfrid H. Gould, Ux- bridge Town, and was ap- proved without amendment. Under the new setup the standing committee on coun- ty matters will consist of eight members. One member will be elected to hold office for three years. One mem. ber will be elected and hold office for two years and one member will be elected and hold office for one year. Thereafter, each elected member will hold office for three years except where. it is to fill an unexpired term. Two members of the com- mittee will be designated to a special committee to serve as county representatives to the executive committee of the Oshawa Area Planning & Development Study.
