A letter and sketch from" Strike and Strike with regards to a re- quested severance of property at Lot 12, Con. 3, owned hy Elliott was presented for Council's consideration. Mr. H. Forder explained the situ- ation and it was recommend- ed that this consent be given. Resolution #13 approved the Roads Dept. of the two municipalities of Darlington and Cartwright tendering for surface treat materials point- ly for the year 1970. A usual winter complaint was brought - to 'Council's attention by the Roads Superintendent, i.e. the number of parked cars that prohibit proper snow removal. Council authorized All members prg- to enforce Section 89 of the Highway Traffic Act and to have cars that are parked on roadways or streets during snow removal operations towed away at the owners expense, and also authorizes the levying of fines, against the owners or operators of same. Notice is to be given in the press and in other manner as may be considered effective. A motion that the town- ship apply for $12,000 of supplementary roads appro- priation, was carried. A motion authorized Council members attending the OGRA convention be reimbursed $40. each.for their out of pocket expenses. Hotel Rooms are to be paid by the Corporation. The Reeve presented his plans and program for the Cartwright Night with the Durham Club in Toronto on Friday, March 20th, 1970. Council members presented a brief report of Fire Hall inspections and the Building Inspector was directed to prosecute By-Law offenders.
