Jim Lee was the winning pitcher and he threw the en- tire game. Port's winning run came in the top of the 12th when a Woodstock field- er caught a long foul ball,' allowing the run to score from third. _ As this first game lasted 3 hrs.' Port only had 10 min- utes rest before coming back to 'play Belleville Jr. A. Ex- periencing a slight letdown and being tired, the Ballard First Game Tournament boys were eliminated 7 - 0. The losing pitcher was Ron Phinney. Belleville went on to win the Tournament by an 8-7 score over Scarborough. The Ballard boys continue their play in the Oshawa City and District League with a home game this Thurs., July 16th at 8:00 p.m. at Lakefront Park. These same two teams played a very exciting game last year and are looking for- ward to entertaining the lo- cal fans again this year. Oshawa Gale Lumber last year won the All - Ontario Senior "B" Crown for the fourth straight year. They feature strong pitching by Larry Marshall and hitting by John Carnwith, Bob Young and Joe Piontek. Toronto Seven-Up Shopsy's are currently tied for first Fastball League, and are al- ways a hard team to beat in Senior "A" Playoffs.
