Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Argue (nee Joan Wotten) who were married in Blackstock United Church on Saturday. On Saturday, July 18th, the 97th picnic of the Werry - Wright - Philp family was held at Cartwright Recrea- tion Centre. Reception com- _mittee, Peggy and Sharon 'Larmer, registered 98 people and gave out name tags. After the dinner, served buffet style by the Black- stock Women's Institute Pre- sident Wm. Werry welcomed everyone present and paid tribute to the memory of those who have passed away in the past few years. Minutes of the executive meeting held in June were read. There was some discussion regarding plans for a Centen- nial picnic in 1973. It was decided to hold the picnic next year on the 3rd Satur- day in July.
