The period featured some fast, exciting hockey with the shots on goal pretty much even for both teams. In the second period, Sunderland counted four goals leaving the score tied 4 - 4 after forty minutes. For KINGS, Bourgeois and Lefort scored in the middle period. The third period belonged completely to the Kings as they counted. three unan- swered goals. Lefort scored MEN'S THURSDAY NIGHT BOWLING December 9th-- High Triple-- J. Hadley, K. But hard work, and an all out effort by every- one on the club, is making the Legion team a winner. Finally the Clubs on one of their rare forward attacks scored the goal that broke the camels back. The Bull Dozers big line of Don Gray, Bill Hall and Steve Hunt com- bined for all the scoring power they needed. Steve Hunt was the man at the right spot at the right time as he tipped Don Gray's shot from the corner into the net just 45 seconds into 'the second period. _ NOTE: To the players there -will -be- no game on December the 26th. The scheduled game will be added to the end of the season. 'Pickering 11 . big games + Kelly Reese, Stephen Hawes; that would settle a lot of arguments, Well the boys came through with a 60 win in handy style, a team effort by everyone. Robt. Evans scored the hat trick with three a goal performance, while Larry Elson, .Edward Olson, and Stephen Hawes riddled the others home, - Ricky Lefort picked up three assists, Ke: vin Martins with two and Olson had one assist. The team beat Newcastle by a score of 10 - 1, Bowmanville 7 - 0, 10 - 2. - Top scorers for the All Stars over the week-end were Larry Elson with eight goals, Phil Cochrane with 'six; Robert Evans with five, Peter Lane with four, and and Steven Jones with two goals each. To date this season the team" has scored 151 goals "with the forward lines counting 90, and the defence scoring 61 times. 'The team plays a strong skating and checking game, though the defence is sometimes guilty of inconsistent play, This year, the team is smaller than last year's club, but the boys make up for their lack * of size with hustle and they use to good advantage the -muscle that they have. Two upcoming games will see the team take on West Rouge on Friday night, and Uxbridge this coming Monday. Ladies curing Tuesday, Nov. 30th-- I, Mitchell 4, R. Mitchell 8 N. Kenny 9, C.
