Reach Township is the first municipal government in Ontario Riding to receive money under the Initiatives programme. The Federal Department responsible for the granting of funds for this programme has announced that the criteria for application has been made easier. Norm Cafik, Liberal MP for On- tario -riding asked that projects provide 15 man- months of work instead of the previously required 30 man-months. Mr. Cafik's request has been granted. This change permits smaller organizations and com- munities to take advantage of the programme.
