No vital statistics locally this week but the Venners were thrilled to have a new grandchild arrive at Peterborough Hospital on December 30th. (Mrs. Venner's" birthday). She is Emma Irene, a daughter for Mr. and Mrs. Dave Newman. Mr. Lion Standish needed to enter Port Perry Hospital about a week ago but has now been discharged. Mr. and Mrs. A. Switzer and daughters left us on Thursday to live in Oshawa and their place has been taken by Mr. and Mrs. Black from Oshawa. Mrs. McNeil came back home again on Sunday after her Christmas visit in Oak- ville. Mrs. Reta Boe seems to have been able to keep busy.
