Over 400 enjoy Legion Open House With the experience of success two years in a row, it would be no surprise if the Legion Open House became a yearly occurrence. At the start of the Cen- tennial Year, January 1, 1971 some 260 persons enjoyed the celebrations, a considerable crowd to entertain during the day-and-evening: This year, however, the crowd increased to well over 400 during the same period of celebrations, from 3p.m. to 1 a.m, Some people arrived in the "afternoon and stayed for a few hours, some arrived in the evening and stayed to the end, others arrived early and enjoyed themselves so much they just stayed on and on, until the music stopped and the lights went out. The Legion Centennial Committee in charge of the arrangement deserve a big hand for the well conducted afternoon and evening, despite: the larger than ex- pected crowd attending.
