Mrs, Payne was pianist, and the meeting opend with'a hymn, First we were shown pictures of the Payne family trip to the West Coast -- the comparatively new highway out of Sault Ste Marie with sheer rock on both sides fifty feet high was a sight to remember. ; There were some fine views of their camping sites; the Calgary dinosaur; Banff with its popular street seem- ingly running into the moun- tains; Lake Louise water too cold for bathing about 35 degrees and Lake Hector also very cold but. with the bluest water imaginable. A huge stump was shown turned up so the lines which show the age of the tree could be seen and the family were standing there viewing it -- Parson Payne pointing to a certain line which was the year Columbus sailed to America in 1492, David Payne who teaches in Thessalon was home this week and he pleased us very much by singing three songs at this time, accompanying himself on his beautiful guitar. David naturedly asked us to sing along with him. Mrs. Beauchamp sang very sweetly 'Jesus is Calling". Mrs. Gates gave a testimony that was very fine and uplifting and should help others. Mrs. Gates is Mrs Payne's mother. A short film was then shown called '"Joseph's Gar- den." It was a very touching account of the Easter story and brought to us in colour. This was a grand evening all through and we thank one and all who came and gave us so much to remember and think about. Mr.A.
