Quite a number of Black- stock folk attended the Port .Perry Skating Club's annual Skating 'Carnival at Port Perry rink on Friday and Saturday evening. Misses Cindy and Lenne VanCamp took part in the programme. Neil Malcolm; Keith Van- Camp, Jim Marlow and Harold Swain won third prize in a Curling Bosnspiel at Fenelon Falls on Saturday. Rev. and Mrs. F. Merrill Ferguson, Toronto were Sunday guests of Mrs. O. Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Porter. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Stan Rahm took Sean and Sheryl Porter with them to Toronto to visit Mr. and Mrs. . Paul Rahm and Kristen. 'Miss Joan Saywell daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sawyell, former merchants of Blackstock recently visited Mr. and Mrs, Harold Martyn and family. During the past three weeks, Junior and Inter- + mediate classes of the United Church Sunday School have been learning about World Development. They have also been busy drawing posters to show what development means to them. A programme is planned for Friday, April 14, at 8 p.m. in the Christian Education Cen- tre when the posters will be displayed and judged and prizes awarded. Mr. Hide fumi Yokoo, a student at the University of Toronto, will show slides on Ledotho, Africa. Everyone is wel- come. Mrs. Harry VanCamp was hostess for the April meeting of the Candace Unit of the U.C.W. There were seven- teen members present. Joan Paisley led in worship witha reading, "If You Were God."
