All ladies are welcome. Les and Sarah Greenwell of Willowdale and formerly from England will show slides of England and give a short talk on Institute Acitivities in that country. - Our sympathy is extended to the family of Clem Wilson of Blackstock in his recent accidental and untimely passing. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wilson with their 2 small daughters moved to the Island farm at the "Head" about 35 years ago. One severe winter their twin sons Clem and Glen arived. The children attended the 'Head * school where they made many friends. They were fine citizens of the community - and greatly missed when they moved to another farm near Blackstock. Though, the little old house has gone, Glen came back gun to the Island farmed and chose a lot for his new home with his wife and children. Weare pleased to hear that the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Brown is heading for recovery of several breaks and injuries as the result of a fall from a tree in Palmer Park. Hope you are getting ready for the Strawberry Supper at "Grace" church on July 5. Tickets may bve obtained from any U.C.W. member at "Head or "Grace" Last Wednesday was a fine afternoon for the Iris tea at the home of Mrs. Edna McLaren. About 60 ladeis from Scugog, Port Perry and Shirley Inst. took the oppor- tunity to see a wonderful display of Irises as well as other perennials and many unusual houseplants. All marvelled at the beauty, success, variety and work involved. Incidentally, it was also Rev.
