These covers can\be very original with a painting or leather- craft or needlework. The history of your farms can be very interesting with some human interest stories. Most of the work is typed but some writing in good handwriting would be valuable. Helen Redman will be Curator for Scugog Island and Reta Wilson will be collecting news events for a scrap book. Under Citizenship and World Affairs for our next meeting on June 21st, Mr. and Mrs. Les Greenwell from Willowdale will show pictures of England. Roll call is name a country and its race. Visitors are welcome. AR PLUMBING May and June have been busy months for the Port Perry B Pack Cubs. A Cuboree was held in May, andin June 7, the pack Derby Race was staged. On June 10, the derby winners from B Pack met winners from the other nine packs in the derby finals. Boys from the B Pack won three of the six trophies. On June 3, a bikeathon was held with Henry Dunn com- pleting the 15-mile course in one hour 20 minutes. Glen Vanschgaen one hour 22 minutes, and Hal Storry one hour 30 minutes placed sec- ond and third respectively. On June 17, Akela and his helpers served breakfast to mothers andsons at the Scout Hall. That afternoon the cubs met at the Fair Grounds for the Pineridge Bike Rodeo ¥ with Constable Ed Laas of the Whitby OPP in charge. All the bikes were checked for safety and then the boys rode a course set up by Constable Laas. Brian Crews won the Canadian Tire Trophy, and Smits Cycle and Sports Tro- phy was won by Kevin Ausman.
