Nova Scotia A beautiful wedding cere- mony was solemnized at the United Church in Yelverton on Saturday, July 29, 1972 at 5:00 p.m. when Miss Linda Grace. Gray became the bride of Mr. Randall A. Longfield. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Gray of R. R. 2, Janetville and the groom is the only son of Dr. and Mrsa G.M. Longfield of Brampton. Rev. G. Hofstetter officiated at the ceremony with Miss Sheryl Ashton of Haydon presiding at the organ. Candelabra and a lovely basket arrangement of white and yellow shasta mums, interspersed with blue car- nations, decorated the front of the church and the guest pews were designated by blue carnations and white satin bows. Mrs, "Stephen Coles of Newcastle rendered a beautiful solo, "Sunrise, Sunset" when the bride's mother had been escorted to her pew. Mrs. Larry Welsh of Bowmanville gave a lovely rendition of "The Lord's Prayer" after the ceremony, and they sang a duet ""O Perfect Love" dur- ing the signing of the regis- ter. The bride came down the aisle to the strains of the "Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet". Given in mar- riage by her father, she look- ed radiant in a white poly- ester crepe formal length A- line gown. The high empire waistline was trimmed with small white daisies, hand- WHY PAY MORE? Over the dress she wore a hooded white, tucked, 'geor- gette coat which flowed into a graceful train, The edging of the coat and hood were trimmed with the same tiny beaded daisies. The coat sleeves were long and full ending in a deep cuff and frill at the wrists. She carried a bridal bouquet of red sweet- heart roses. Mrs. Claude Cairns of Belleville was the matron of honor and the bridesmaids were Mrs. Thomas Watson of Terra Cotta and Mrs. Brian Gray of Lotys. They were attired alike in formal length gowns of blue flowered georgette in A-line style with long full sleeves ending in a deep, frilled cuff. They wore matching flowers in their hair, and carried cascade bouquets of white and yellow shasta 'mums. The groom was supported by his friend and colleague, Mr. Paul Kennedy of Toronto as best man. Ushers were Mr. Thomas Watson, Terra Cotta, brother-in-law of the groom, and Mr. Brian Gray of Lotus, b rother of the bride. At 'the reception, held in Yelverton Church Hall, the bride's mother received the guests attired in a sleeve- less, blue figured crepe dress topped by a long-sleeved baby blue double knit coat with a mandarin collar. She wore a corsage of yellow sweetheart rosebuds. The groom's mother assisted, wearing a bone colored dress made of embroidered mat- erial. It had a gathered skirt, long sleeves and cowl collar, and she wore a corsage of talisman roses. Mr. Bruce Marsh of Toronto, uncle of the groom, was the capable master of ceremonies. He provided the transportation for the bride and her parents to the church in his 1935 Rolls-Royce and for the wedding party after the ceremony. For travelling the bride chose a street-length yellow crimpelene dress styled with empire waistline, high neck- line and short puffed sleeves. Navy blue accessories com- pleted the ensemble.
