The roll call *'Name some- thing in to-days' society that should be changed'. The answers indicated much constructive thinking on the part of the members, and possible solutions were pre- sented re - the many problems of to-day. Mrs. C. DeYonge voiced appreciation to the members who so willingly participated in the programme for the Community Nursing Home recently, and requested that thought be given to another entertainment for the resi- dents, later on, perhaps around Christmas. Do you members need a challenge? Are you anxious to partici- pate in something really worthwhile? If so! Miss Alice The ChemStor System saves and makes you money. Feed production costs comedown... feed efficiency goes up. Two ways a winner! *Reglstered trademark Leo Urges members to attend convention Dodd commented on the motto, -- "IF you are on the Rocks, be a Lighthouse". In her thoughts Miss Dodd stated; this motto brings to mind _a_ picture of a ship floundering on the rocks, dashed back and forth at the mercy of the waves, On these same rocks stands a Light- . house, erect, immovable, a tower of strength and stabil- ity in the midst of thundering waves. From the top a giant beacon of light, sends a beam far across the sea. Miss Dodd went on to say - most of us find ourselves on rocks at one time or another, because life is not all smooth sailing. She likened people as being helpless vessels, with many problems, such as illness, blindness, tensions, and so on, and then bravely becoming the lighthouse to show other vessels the way to a harbour of safety. Miss Dodd's example of those who through their tribulations had become Lighthouses to others, was an inspiration to the mem- bers. Miss A. Kent entertained with some splendid readings, bringing the programme to a close. Mrs. Sam Naples displayed three Historical books she has compiled for the Branch. After singing "Oh Can- ada!" refreshments were served by Mesdames A, Kent, V. Rundle, M. Stone, I. Day and A.:Dodd.
