Port Perry played their best game of the year, using strong forechecking and sound positional play to keep the Oshawa team off balance most of the night. Phil Cochrane opened the scoring on a pass from Larry Elson, Oshawa then tied the score while enjoying a two man advantage. Cochrane scored his second of the night with an assist going to Mark Jobb. The second period School Curling Sharon McIntyre has curled one week and enjoys it very much. She says itis a rewarding experience and something she will not for- get. In spite of being beaten first time out she is very enthusiastic. Scores from Jonilag, Dec. 3 Ice 1: Miss Bruce 3. Ice 2 Mr. Philip 8; Dave Larmer 3. Ice 3 Shelley Olsen 3; Beaton 3. In the third period Oshawa started strong but couldn't beat goalie Barry Heard who played - his usual ' steady game in goal. Mark Jobb then scored the game clin- cher on a pass from Dave Horten. Cochrane then add- ed his third. of the night into an empty net. Two of the Port goals were scored while Oshawa had the man advantage. The Port Perry defense Jamie Mal- colm and Rick Taylor, along with Ed Olson and Larry Elson were outstanding, not allowing Oshawa to roam in our end and delivering several key bodychecks. The boys apprciate the fine - support they were given on Sunday and hope it continues until the end of the year. Ladies Curling Tuesday, Nov. 28 Helen Hadden 8; Norma Kenny 6.
