It seems that Greenbank has -hogged the jobs on our new municipal council. And what has hap- pened to Seagrave? Until fairly recently we could count on representation from this corner: of the township. Most of us kept busy at home, during the week but the Hunters, Cliff Shorts, Carrs and Belairs managed to attend the Federation of Agriculture banquet in Ux- bridge on Tuesday night. Things livened up on Sunday. The Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wanamaker and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Reynolds from town went to Toronto to call on Mrs. Elsie Brown. The Neil Wanamaker fam- ily were in Toronto too visiting the Ian Frasers. And so was Mrs. Phyllis Wray who visited with her family. Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Nod- Novice wins three games For the third encounter this year, the Malmont Farms Novice downed the Uxbridge Club by a convin- cing score of 4 - 0. Excellent goal tending by Robert Franssen and one- hundred percent effort by the rest of the greenshirts. made this victory possible. Scoring for Port were: Parker unassisted, Marsh from Tully, Tully from Kane & Durward and Tully from Kane. : On Thursday night, the boys were hosted by New- castle and again came home the winners. With a slow start the boys had only a 1-1 tie at the end of the first period, but came back strong to make it a 4 - 1 game. Scoring for Port were Kane from Marsh, Wilbur from Brown, Kane from Marsh and Burnett unassis- ted. Back home the next night with five rookies from the House League, the green- shirts toppled the Pickering Club 9 - 0 with Brian Mikkelson earning the shut- out. Marksmen for Port were Burnett unassisted, Andrews from Potts, Burnett unassis- "ted. Potts from Burnett, Shur-Gain Feedlot Starter Rations Help Overcome Stress-caused Diseases and get Tully from Durward, Bur- nett unassisted, Thompson from Tobin, Burnett unass- isted and Andrews from Potts and Sandison. The boys meet Stouffville at home on Friday. let's get out and cheer the greenshirts on to another victory. Perryview (continued) asked. In reply to this he stated; "I have no way of knowing what the planners think. Council have certain: channels open to them if they object to any decisions at the provcincial level. Even if the Municipal Board turned down a protest, any ob- jections could be registered. _ Inconclusion, Dr. Dymond stated; "I am a strong believer in planned growth and development. I was never elected to maintain the status quo. Just because our community is small, it needn't stand still. Service industries and small in- dustries like Flamingo Pas- tries are what this com- munity needs. Any plans for a new shopping center should be studied carefully." Cattle onto Full Feed Fast Steers and heifers coming into your feedlot can cause you a peck of trouble, unless they are properly brought onto full feed. From range or pasture into -Bill Hilbert well got as far as Hamilton for a day with Mr. and Mrs. and family. Coming into ~the com- munity for the week-end were Miss Marilyn McMillan and Mr. Lloyd Bruce, both with their home folks. Then Mrs. Reta Boe had a christmas gathering on Sun- day. Her guests were Mr. and Mrs. Percy Reynolds of Scarborough, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Suddard and Kathy of Oshawa, Mr. and Mrs. Mart- in Suddard of Toronto, and Mr. and Mrs. Melville Sleep, Miss Joan Sleep and Miss Ida Wray of Bowmanville. Congratulations go to Mr. Herb Eagleson now of Pres- ton who will be celebrating _ his 97th birthday about the time this paper is in the mail. Mr. and Mrs. Eagleson will be marking their 59th anni- versary right now too. We are glad to be able to FOR BEST report Mr. Vince Otto home from Toronto hospital and feeling very much better. Mr. Wilbert Stone was a casualty last week and had to enter Port Perry hospital. This week's services were uneventful but next Sunday we can have a real day by attending a White Gift Ser- vice at 10 in Seagrave, a Choral Service in Port Perry at 4 and a Candle Lighting Service in Greenbank at 7.30.
