The only visitor noticed on Sunday was Mrs. Ombra, Clarke of Little Britain whois with the Scotts for a few days. Our old friends Mr. and Mrs. Eagleson were back last week staying with Mrs. A. Bruce and Marjorie. The occasion was certainly not a __joyous one but we were glad te see the Eaglesons looking well. Mr. and Mrs. Don Mac- Kinnon of Lucknow were with the Morley Bruce fam- ily for a couple of days. The Charles Short family dined with the Walter Fish- leys in Brooklin on Sunday evening. Twenty ladies and one gentleman met for the U.C.W. Meeting last Wed- nesday evening. The presi- dent, Mrs. Abraham was in the chair and Rev. Critch was on hand to get things started properly. "A New Start for the New Year" was the theme of the devotional. Mrs. Belair and Roy Scott will audit the books. Unit 1 will plan the February meeting. After the closing hymn and- benedic- tion lunch will be served. Some of our snowmobile enthusiasts attended the Mosport races on the week- end and we hear an excitizen Bill Harper did some racing. Sunday services were rou- tine with fair attendances. Mrs. Gladys Short and Supt. Bruce Carr enjoyed the birthday greetings. Holes for cedar poles have been chopped and a snow-fence has been erected. Saturday, Sunday and Monday saw members of the C of C, Kinsmen Club and some volunteers cleaning the ice.
