It Costs Money In order to win North- umberland-Durham for the Progressive-Conservative Party Alan Lawrence spent more than his Liberal and N.D.P. opponents combined. It cost Mr. Lawrence $23,000 to take the seat away from Liberal Rusell Honey. Mr. Honey lost because he only had $13,032.93 to spend and the N.D.P.'s Wilmer Hill finished out of the money with a budget of only $3,566.49. Could this explain why people who get elected are always so spend thrift with our tax dollars? 0 Sklar 0 Peppler 0 Kroehler 0 Knechtel Ld J val pe RE tudiclditincudiidaisiinnaninneilicbibasmduiadiiiisiiitubdacsidmntm smite assis PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, Jan. 31,1973 -- 7 NURSING HOME HAPPENINGS There were two new ad- missions to the home during the week.
