The Chamber of Com- merce has strong feelings on this subject as well. Dear Sirs: Mr. William Brock of Port Perry sent me the write up "Rare Book of Local Interest Donated to Scugog Shores Museum", taken from your Wednesday, January 24, 1972 Port Perry Star. It was indeed a pleasure to know our gift was so graciously accepted by the Scugog Shores Museum and that your paper acknow- ledged this gift in such an interesting way. Would you send me about three copies of this write up and please enclose your bill for the cost of the papers and the mailing. I thank you. Very sincerely, (Miss) Myrtle M. Shufelt equipment and methods of treatment are completely modern with rooming-in fac- ilities for mother and new- born in the Obstetric Wing. The present and future residents should be able to visit their wives and rela- tives in our Community Hospital and should not have to be inconvenienced by travelling miles out of town. We feel that the future residents of Port Perry expects to have complete facilities in our Schools and Hospitals and if we start closing off part of our facilities in our Town we will stop our growth in population -- we will start orienting people to the larger cities and therefore our smaller communities will be a thing of the past. What do you, the people of Port Perry, the taxpayer and those most affected by the decisions made, really want? Do you want people who aquiesce quietly, agreeably; those unwilling or unable to have an opinion of their own; those who desire to be known as nice people and easy to IY Nobla op a PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, Feb. 7th, 1973 - 5 FILED ratepayers' thinking work with?
