Retail $1.79 Port Perry 4-H Club MEETING #2 - PORT PERRY 4-H CLUB Meeting 2 was held on Feb. 12, 1973 at the home of Mrs. Bryant. The meeting opened with the 4-H pledge. Patsy Smith read the roll and Margot Van Schagen read the min- utes of meeting one. Kim Harrison read some of the points to consider when buying the material. We then read some general in- formation about planning the dress. We discussed the right colors to suit your vest and to do this the material was held up to see if it matched our natural colouring. Kim Harrison demonstra- ted how to straighten the ends of the material and put it on the straight of grain. Jackie then basted the ends together. Margot Van Schagen showed how to take measurements cor- rectly. We were given some cotton samples which we labelled. The meeting closed with the 4-H motto. Several of the ladies took part, and ended with the group singing, Will There be any Stars in my Crown. Our president, Pat Kingstone led in prayer. Margaret Ann Lamb read the scripture lesson and Laura Wilson lead the reading of Psalm, 724. Marion Webster sang a solo. "The Stranger of Gali- lee. Mrs. Aird and Mrs. Holtby took up the collection.
