Mr. Clemons represented the Joint Dairy Breeds at the Canadian Trade Fair which was held in Peking during the past year, and was one of 500 Canadians who had the opportunity to attend this event. 25,000 people per day attended the Fair from all parts of China as specialists in their particular fields of endeavour. He stated that those interested in the dairy business came to ask questions, through his two interpreters, about what Canada had to offer by way of commerce in this field. ted that their value would be approximately $500 per head in China. It was noted that the Dairy Cattle numbers were very small in China, and that there was a good potential for trade as the industry developed. The speaker was intro- duced by Mr. Gerry Nelson, and thanked by Mr. Lloyd Wilson, who presented him with a hamper of apples donated by Lloyd Smith. Mr. Maurice Jebson, President, outlined the edu- cational projects that the Club will undertake during 1973. He particularly men- tioned the bus trip which will be taken to visit herds in Northumberland County on Friday, March 23rd, and invited everyone interested to join the tour.
