The groom was attended by his brother Mr. Wayne Irwin and ushers were Mr. Larry Irwin brother of the Nestleton, Caesarea - On behalf of the many avid readers of our 'home town" newspaper, the Port Perry Star, in this and surrounding areas, I wish to convey our sincere congratulations to Mr. Bruce Arnold upon his appointment as editor. Also to extend a warm welcome to Mrs. Arnold and the child- ren. I refer to the Star as our '"'Home Town" newspaper as I would feel rather jsolated, living out here in feo without my weekly copy. I find that this informative, interesting newspaper gives me a sense of being a part of a thrivingly, friendly com- munity. In this hectic era in which we now live, that is - about all anyone could hope for. The position of editor of such a paper as the Star is quite an undertaking. In the city very few people, if any, even know the name of the editor of a newspaper, but in a small community the editor is known personally as Groom and Mr. Douglas Wilson, cousin of the Bride, dressed alike in white jackets. For the Reception, held in the lower auditorium of the Uxbridge Baptist Church, Mrs. Wilson received the guests wearing a street length dress of Alice blue Arnel with corsage of pink rosebuds. She was assisted by Mrs. Irwin wearing street length dress of Lime green polyester with corsage of yellow Sweetheart roses. The Bride and Groom left amid showers of confetti for a Honeymoon in Niagara Falls. The bride wearing a dress of pink polyester with white lace inserts and plum coloured suede coat with white fur trim. They now reside on R.R. 3, Uxbridge. I 1 Do something nice for yourself.
