The board of church session met at the home of TRAVEL NONQUON Les Beacocks Monday even- ing. Mr. and Mrs. N. Wilson have sold their farm and are moving to a home in Port Perry. A farewell party was held in their honour in the reception center last tuesday evening. Eight tables of euchre were in play after which prizes were awarded to those worthy. Later M.C. Mr. E. Martyn, a neighbour of the Wilsons requested they come to the front. Earl voiced a few sentiments after which Roy Graham and Les Beacock each presented furniture and household artricles for the town home. Norman and Loraine responded appreci- ateively. Lunch was then served to forty relatives and neighbours. Mr. and Mrs. Kimmerley of Bala spent the week-end with her sister Mrs. C. Newnham. Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Brown, Guelph visited her parents Mr. and Mrs. C. Love and John. Miss Sharon Sweetman was surprised on Saturday afternoon by friends and relatives at the home of Mrs. Sheri Metcalf. The current edition of Legacy, a newspaper published by the ministry, says Port Perry is one of 75 Ontario centres which has such facilities in the, *"'plan- ning, design or construction "Steamboat will Lake Scugog in The first steamboat to be on Lake Scugog in many years will appear June 2 as part of the Lake Scugog Historical Society's annual 'Canoe the Nonquon" event. The ship will steam down from Lindsay and accompany canoists on their yearly journey to the Port Perry waterfront.
