This United Church = organization will celebrate its 25th anniver- sary. We owe much to the mother of Harry Denton, who was the student minister at the time. Mrs. Denton called the ladies together at the home of Mrs. Thos. Redman and gave guidance and information in forming this very successful organ- ization. Through the years the first members and those who joined later have been very interested in the work of the church and have been very loyal and helpful in the various activities. Many people have been invited to the Open House for the 25th Anniversary to be held at the "Head" Church 'would' have church services all summer and would welcome all who will be in the area. Next Sunday, ye.must appear an hour rlier as we must move our clocks ahead on Saturday night. Sunday's message to the children was that Jesus had assured his disciples and followers that "All is well," and Easter is again a time of assurance, To the adults Rev. Pogue requested the thought of what life would be like if Easter had not occurred. The former He- brews believed that they lived life and that death was the end. The risen Lord taught us differently and we should rejoice on every Sunday of the year and not just at Easter. God proved We consider the reaction of Judas. He had a change of heart and realized he had been very wrong. When he could not do anything to relieve his guilt he took his life. Peter too had denied his Lord but lived long enough to see Jesus rise and receive his forgiveness and learn that he could begin again. We are sorry to report that Mrs. George Samells, Jr. is in hospital with respiratory problems. We hope it will not be long till she is well again. Our sympathy is extended to Mrs. Bonnie Gerrow and her family for the recent accidental bereavement of her brother-in-law while at work last week at Bradford. Mr. and Mrs. Stickmann of Toronto enjoyed the Easter weekend with their son Max Stichmann and his family. on Wednesday, May 2 thatHereally cares and that mq startingat 2p.m. until 4p.m. evil will ultimately be This is Tuck Shop week for This celebration will include destroyed. the "Head" ladies. a Short ceremony followed by a Social Time.
