Huston, chairman and organizer of the child- ren's Hallowe'en collections to UNICEF told the Star Monday this year's result was best yet. } The five public schools participating; Port Perry, Prince Albert, = Epsom, Greenbank and Blackstock collected a total of $617.01 compared to last year's total «of $562.75. Broken down for the indi- vidual schools the results were as follows: Port Perry, 223 children participating collecting $243.; Prince Albert, 164 children, $158.60; Epsom, 59 children, $101.18; Greenbank, 50 children, $72.13; Blackstock, 44 children, $42.10. The work of organizing 1- ED -A and- completing a campaign of this kind is considerable and Mrs. Huston told the Star she receives excellent co-operation from the schools involved. Just the counting of all the pennies, nickles, dimes, et. take quite some time. Among the $243. collected in Port Perry, 183 pennies had to be counted and wrapped as well. Despite the fact Mrs. Huston was sick in bed during part of the campaign arrangements, she still took an active part, as well as she possibly could. This was her 12th year working with the children of this area for the benefit of starving and helpless children around the_ World through UNICEF.
