A creel census was con- ducted on Sunday, Feb. 24 by two conservation officers from the Lindsay office. The officers inter- viewed 100 anglers who angled 132 hours to achieve a catch of 22 yellow pickerel and six perch. They also had caught and released one largemouth bass and one maskinonge as the sea- sons for these fish do not open until June 29 and June 1 respectively. The size of the pickerel caught averaged 2'» to 3 Ibs. with the largest 9. lbs. Some fishermen reported a 12 Ib. pickerel caught re- cently.
