The above mentioned wel- come is also extended to Mr. and Mrs. Jim Faith, who have purchased the former 'home of the D Days, also in Caesarea. A Summer Fi-na-le? I for one, sincerely hope not, but it certainly appears to be just that. My husband and I have not seen hide nor feather of what we term as "our" Canaries and Blue-birds for over two weeks. Raccoons, Squirrels, Partridges and other "Critters of Nature" are daily invading Don ®Frew's corn. Corn roasts are y KD being held in many areas, the "Cards and Kids" club has begun, as have the Foresters meetings, the Women's "Institute ete. for the winter season. All of which sums up to one word . . Autumn . . Where did our summer go?? On Saturday evening of last week, Mr. and Mrs. Reg Renouf of Caesarea, enter- tained numerous friends with a combined corn and pig roast. Music was provided by friends. By all reports, sometime in the wee hours of the morning, a weary but completely well nourished and contented group of people departed for home. Mr. and Mrs. Ron For- sythe, also of Caesarea, held a corn roast, with other added "'goodies," for friends and neighbours. This of course made for a pleasant evening for another large group on Saturday. Mrs. M. MacGregor of Caesarea, is at present suf- HIRST LI fering with that painful virus commonly known as shing- les. Her friends and neigh- bours trust that by press time she is feeling much better. N The Diamond - M Stables ii in Enfield was well repre- a sented on Labour Day at the. C.N.E. Watch it girls! As my daughter and I were driving north on Ritson Rd. at the Five Points Mall on Friday, we saw a police car, un- marked of course, (the Traf- fic Division) and the officer that was handing out those silly tickets was one of the PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, Sept. 11,1974 -- 7 fairer sex.
